Christmas City Follies returns for eighth rendition For Immediate Release: November 15, 2007
Christmas City Follies, an annual holiday vaudeville production, will return to the Touchstone Theatre stage November 28ththrough December 23rd.This production features a host of zany and sentimental characters performing sketch comedy with original and classic holiday music. Folliescharacters from years past will return, including the Pajama Sisters who perform the inimitable Shopping Cart Ballet, the Old Guy, played by co-founder Bill George, and Justine, a card carrying member of the Lost Daughters of Dixie who can turn tragic into magic with sequins and applique This years production will also introduce a host of new characters and will include an interesting look into who Mrs. Claus is and what might happen if your holiday tree and your dogfall in love?! The winter holidays before the New Year are a special time in the Lehigh Valley andChristmas City Follieshas become one of the best ways to celebrate the unique voice of our community with a special dose of laughter and warmth, said Mark McKenna, Touchstones Producing Artistic Director. As in years past,Follieswill feature a new community guest each evening. This years special guests include Bethlehem Mayor John Callahan, Northampton Community Colleges Dean of Community Education, Paul Pierpoint and Just Borns Angie Gutekunst.
