The Players Club of Swarthmore Presents Nunsense II: The Second Coming For Immediate Release: March 28, 2007
It's the return of The Little Sisters of Hoboken! Nunsense II: The Second Coming brings those zany Nuns back to The Players Club of Swarthmore Theater stage for a “thank you” performance. Each sister adds to the show by providing her own special talent and together they sing and dance like no other nuns you've seen! The Little Sisters first hit the boards to raise money to bury some nuns who were accidentally poisoned by the Convent cook – Sister Julia, Child of God. Thankfully, that first outing raised the necessary funds and now, the sisters are putting on a show to thank their supporters. Luckily, this time is just for fun – they're flush with cash since Sister Amnesia won the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes! Director Theodora K. Psitos is bringing the non-stop singing, dancing and habit-forming humor back to Swarthmore with a little help. Reprising their roles from the 1997 Players Club production of Nunsense are Teddie Psitos (Wallingford), Donna Dougherty (West Chester) and Christine Riggio (Honeybrook). Joining the cast are Barbara Hicks (Newark, Delaware, formerly of Swarthmore) and Kristina Psitos (Wallingford). Nunsense II: The Second Coming runs April 26-29, May 3-6 and May 10-12. Thursday, Friday and Saturday performances are at 8pm and Sunday matinées are at 2pm. The Players Club of Swarthmore is located just minutes from the Blue Route and I-95 at 614 Fairview Avenue in Swarthmore. Tickets are $22 for adults and $10 for students (18 and under or college students with ID) and are available at the box office. Tickets may also be purchased in advance by visiting www.pcstheater.org or calling 1-866-811-4111 (ticket sales through TheaterMania). For Info or Group Sales: 610-328-4271.
