Blithe Spirit, the classic comedy by Noel Coward at Action Arts Theater

Action Arts Theater Company, resident at the Cheltenham Center for the Arts, open it’s 2006-2007 theater season with the classic comedy Blithe Spirit by Noel Coward. This show is honored as a Best of the Burbs 13 event by the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce.

Action Arts Theater Company will celebrate opening night by hosting a complimentary gourmet reception. After the opening night performance on October 6th, theatergoers are invited to enjoy a tantalizing array of hors d’oeuvres, drinks and desserts. The audience can share thoughts, questions, and reactions with the cast, crew, and director.

The Story: This classic comedy by Noel Coward tells the story of Charles Condomine, who hosts a dinner party and a séance at his home as research for his new novel. The psychic Madame Arcati conjures up the spirit of his departed ex-wife, Elvira. She finds he is remarried and she happily disrupts the quiet life he leads with his new wife, Ruth.
