'Out Of Order' Continues Summer Farce Tradition At Hedgerow For Immediate Release: June 24, 2006 Hedgerow Theatre stages their 6th annual Ray Cooney farce, Out Of Order, July 7 – Sept. 6, directed by Producing Artistic Director Penelope Reed. Loosely based on an actual British sex scandal involving a member of Parliament, Cooney’s comedy begins with an government official arriving at a posh hotel to begin an affair with a lovely secretary. As they draw the curtains to open a window for some fresh air, they discover a body draped over the window sill. Things hilariously go from bad to worse as they try to dispose of the body so that their would-be tryst doesn’t become public knowledge. However, with a conniving waiter, a suspicious hotel manager, an alert private detective, an angry wife, a furious husband, a bungling aide and unconscious nurse complicating matters, nothing goes as planned. Hedgerow veterans Zoran Kovcic and Susan Wefel will appear in their sixth Cooney farce. Joining them for this summer romp are Dave Christoffersen of Lawrenceville, N.J., Alan Kutner of Havertown, and Jean Louise O’Sullivan of Philadelphia and Hedgerow theater fellows Newton Buchanan, Mariliene Morgendorff, Keon Mohajeri and Daniel Frost. Out Of Order won of the British Olivier Award for Best Comedy of 1991. It’s comic mayhem at its British best this summer on the Hedgerow stage with performances Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. July 7-Sept. 6 . A post-show meet the cast reception is planned for Friday, July 17. Tickets are $25 Friday and Saturday, $22 Thursday and Sunday, with a $3 discount for seniors.
