Madhouse Theater Company presents... The Late Nite Snack: Episode 2 For Immediate Release: February 16, 2006 Madhouse Theater Company stretches their late night muscles in 2006 and is proud to present the city of Philadelphia’s first ever serialized theater series. The second installment is planned for The Playground in the Adrienne Theatre (2030 Sansom Street) on Friday, February 24th at 11pm. Tickets are only $10! Serial isn’t just for breakfast anymore! Madhouse continues to bring the comedy in their second show. On the docket for February: the continuing rags to mediocrity serial, Head Case, by John Stanton. Johnny and his Ma have made the commitment to climb the show biz ladder and attempt to crash an audition. A compelling look at the devastating world of semi-professional show business. Sante Fe, by Robert Caisley, chivalry is not dead, apparently. At least not in New Mexico. Sante Fe is the story of a story told. Tell is the teller and the knight in shining armor. Wendy Fund by Josh McIlvain: A young girl spends like crazy and goes on television looking for donations to pay it back. A silly and fun look at charity and infomercials. Madhouse also premieres the first two in a series of Daily Comics, their super hero episodes. Superhero in Waiting by Angela Hanks, is the story of Lydia, aka Ms. FantasticWonder, who can’t seem to get, pardon the expression, her ass in gear. The world might be a safe place if she actually showed up. The second episode of Daily Comics is by John Stanton. The title of the of episode pretty much tells you what this super woman’s power is: BallBuster. Gravesite Memories by Stanton is a dark comedy of a family remembering Dad as they gaze at his head stone. In the spirit of Monty Python, Gravesite is an absurd look at mourning and memory. Last but certainly not least, 722 provides the music both in song and scoring and also some Bullwinkle type narration to keep the show moving along. Late Nite Snack Show Dates: (Fridays @ 11pm at The Playground 2030 Sansom St.)
