Luna Theater Company Announces Lanford Wilson's Burn This

For Immediate Release: January 9, 2006
Media Contact: Kelly Connor, Connor PR, 856.223.9567

Luna Theater Company continues their fourth season with Lanford Wilson’s Burn This. Featuring the talented Aaryn Kopp as Anna and Chris Fluck as Pale, this burning love story offers audiences an intense night of passion not to be missed!

Burn This, which will be performed at the Walnut Street Theatre’s Studio 5 located at 825 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, previews February 8th and 9th, opens February 10th and runs through March 5th, 2006. Tickets range from $15 to $25 and can be purchased by calling Luna Theater Company’s Box Office at (215) 704-0033 or by visiting www.LunaTheater.org. Media interviews, actor bios and digital photos available upon request.

Story Summary: Passion, like fire, can strike at any time. And when two opposed individuals are involved, the results can be tumultuous. Anna, a dancer who is mourning the loss of her gay dance partner, Robbie, encounters his older brother, Pale, when he bursts into her loft in the middle of the night. Dangerous, sexy, raw and demanding, Pale inserts himself into Anna's calm existence and leads her against her will – or is it? - into an explosive relationship from which there may be no turning back. Burn This reminds us that love – like life – is often messy and takes us out of our comfort zone into unsettling places.

Already gaining a reputation in the Greater Philadelphia region for reviving classic and modern plays, the company will conclude its fourth season with John Pielmeier’s Agnes of God, which opens in May 2006. Funding for Luna’s 2005-2006 season has been provided in part by Phoebe W. Haas Charitable Trust B.
