Prince Music Theater Welcomes Dreamgirls Composer Henry Krieger - Theater Holds Exciting Meet-the-Composer Session with Renowned Broadway Composer For Immediate Release: December 30, 2005 The Prince Music Theater is proud to host and welcome Broadway living legend Henry Krieger as he attends the January 10, 2006 performance of Dreamgirls. Henry Krieger is the Grammy Award-winning composer of the legendary Broadway musical DREAMGIRLS (Lyrics by Tom Eyen), for which he also received Tony and Drama Desk nominations. His second Tony Award nomination, in 1998, was for his score for SIDE SHOW. Also for Broadway, he composed the music for THE TAP DANCE KID, which won two Tony Awards. Recent work includes the scores for the new musical LUCKY DUCK, which has toured the US, and for the Broadway-bound musical adaptation of the film FLAMINGO KID and MOONSTRUCK. Krieger and Albert Innaurato, Prince Playwright-in-Residence, will sit on stage, following the performance, to facilitate an informal conversation about Mr. Krieger’s history with Dreamgirls, the upcoming movie and his many other Broadway credits. The audience will be invited to stay for a public Q & A session with Mr. Krieger. The Prince recently announced that due to popular demand, it has extended the run of its new production of Dreamgirls through to January 15, 2006. The Prince production highlights the music and creativity of living legend Henry Krieger and the unforgettable songs he created including One Night Only, I Am Changing, Fake Your Way to the Top, and the sensational And I Am Telling You, I’m Not Going.
