Act II Playhouse will present a first, for them, this holiday season with four performances by “The Nelsons” internationally acclaimed illusionists and magicians. Performances will be twice-daily on December 27 and 28 with show times at 10:30 AM and 1 PM. Tickets are $20 for adults, $12 for children. Tickets are available at the box office at 56 E. Stephen Blumenthal, Producing Artistic Director of Act II, said that the day-time performances are a new idea at the playhouse and are scheduled to give those people with children home from school a new entertainment opportunity. “We think this will provide excitement for the whole family from the world of magic,” he added.

The Nelsons are a family. The longtime act is comprised of Jeff and Lynn and daughter Shari, 12, one of the world’s youngest professional magicians.

Their act features such classic illusions as dividing someone in four parts, a woman losing her head, a man crawling through a rotating fan, a girl impaled on a sword, an audience member cut in half, a girl becoming a skeleton and a person compressed to just one foot tall.

Originally from Canada, and now based in Bensalem, they are known internationally and have appeared in such places as the Trump Plaza Casino, Premier Cruise Lines, Legends in Concert China Tour, Magic Island in Houston, TX, Caesar’s Resorts, the Big Apple Circus and have been featured on an internationally syndicated television show.
