The Cat in the Hat Comes To Media Theatre

For Immediate Release: November 4, 2005
Media Contact: Roger Ricker, Media Theatre, 610.891.0100

“Oh! The Thinks You Can Think!” is one of the songs in Seussical, the musical based on Dr. Seuss characters and stories. The family musical plays at The Media Theatre this holiday season, and when you think of the holidays you certainly think of sharing a great show with your family.

The Cat in the Hat narrates the musical, using improvisation and comedy to move the story along. In Media’s production, The Cat in the Hat will be played by Bradley Reynolds. Reynolds has worked with Jennifer Holliday in the National Tour of Dreamgirls, and Ken Berry in the National Tour of Swing! He has also worked with Debbie Reynolds and Carol Lawrence. “I look forward to coming to Media, as I have heard great things about the area,” Reynolds said. “The Cat in the Hat is such a great role for someone who enjoys comedy due to all of the improvisation.”

Bradley Reynolds was a principal performer on CBS-TV’s “Improvisation” show and has performed at Philadelphia’s Society Hill Playhouse, the Virginia Musical Theater, and Theater East (NYC). He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theater from the renowned University of Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.

Seussical is the Broadway musical based on Dr. Seuss delightful characters and stories. Written by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty (with an assist from Monty Python star Eric Idle), Seussical is great fun for the entire family. The Media Theatre’s production, which runs Nov. 22-Jan. 1, is Philadelphia’s professional premiere. Call 610-891-0100 for tickets, or visit www.mediatheatre.org.
