You're Onstage with Haney and Ricker, the interactive improvisational theatre experience for children ages 5-12, returns at The Media Theatre for a limited engagement in February.

You're Onstage combines the structure of a ‘class' with the structure of an actual ‘show' which the children create as the hour progresses. Tim Haney and Roger Ricker, Media Theatre acting instructors, guide the Saturday morning improvisation, with Haney on the keyboards and Ricker actually directing the show as it moves along. Props, wigs and costume pieces are available for the children to use, giving them the feel of being in an actual show on the Media Theatre stage.

Artistic Director Jesse Cline explained, “At the Media Theatre, we believe in the strength of this basic philosophy: Acting is living as truthfully as one can under an imaginary circumstance. When young people work with professional instructors in this setting, that philosophy assists them while they have a great time.”

You're Onstage will meet each Saturday morning in February at 11am. Tickets are $8 per child and are available at the door. Reservations may be made by calling 610-891-0100. You're Onstage with Haney and Ricker is also available for student groups, boy scout and brownie troops, even kindergarten classes. Call for information.
