Auditions for Trouble in Mind, The Drama Group
Audition for The Drama Group’s Nov.-Dec. production of TROUBLE IN MIND by Alice Childress will be held on Wed. & Thurs., Sept. 3 & 4, at 7:30 p.m., at The First United Methodist Church of Germantown, 6023 Germantown Ave. The play is set in 1957, as an inter-racial cast begins rehearsing a new play. Dancer/Choreographer, Red Light Cabaret
A new cabaret is in need of a dancing girl (or boy in drag?) for once a monthly show beginning in November. The show will feature many original songs and a live gypsy punk band. Some of the musicians hail from the Curtis Institute of Music. While burlesque, side-show, carny, sketch comedy, and performance artists fill out the mix. Candidates will be required to choreograph very simple dances for small groups of dancers, and contribute collaboratively to the project. Singing and other talents are a plus, but not required.
